About Me

Hello, my name is Lauren Jeffery, I am a mother of 3, wife, avid op-shopper, creative and most importantly a sewist. Creating with my hands has been a passion of mine all my life but sewing and in particular garment sewing has been my obsession since 2019. That first pattern I picked up 6 years ago has led me on a path that has changed my life, my understanding of fashion, the impact that has on the environment and how I see the world around me.

Although sewing and creating has been something I have played with throughout my life, my garment sewing practice began when my children were very little. At the time I was trying to find myself in my new identity as a mother and sewing couldn't have come at a better moment. Since then, I have worked hard to gain as much knowledge as possible and an understanding of the fashion industry and how it works. A slow, sustainable way of clothing myself and my family is now my way of life.

Teaching people how to sew and offering tips on how to choose a more sustainable practice is extremely fulfilling and I hope it inspires the people around me.
