I (Lauren Jade) am a mother of 3, wife, avid op-shopper, creative and most importantly a sewist. Creating with my hands has been a passion of mine all my life but sewing and in particular garment sewing has been my obsession since 2019. That first pattern i picked up 6 years ago has led me on a path that has changed my life, my understanding of fashion, the impact that has on the environment and how I see the world around me. Saving and recycling second hand and vintage textiles is a huge part of my practice and something I hope inspires my students in the classroom. I offer sewing workshops to a variety of levels from the absolute beginner and teens to those who just want to brush up on their skills. I also have a range of teaching patterns available and I'm hoping to offer course curriculum to anyone wanting to get into teaching.
