Garment Sewing for Beginners
Join me in this 6-week workshop where ill teach you everything you need to know about Garment Sewing. Lauren Jade Makes Sewing School Ready to dive into the world of garment sewing? Join us for Garment Sewing for Beginners, an in-person event where you'll learn the basics in a fun and friendly setting. Whether you've never touched a sewing machine or just need a refresher, Lauren Jade will guide you step-by-step to create your very own wearable piece. Come get creative, meet fellow sewing enthusiasts, and start making your dream wardrobe! Key things you will learn: sewing machine basics deep dive sewing tools how to read and use a sewing pattern how to do a basic tissue fit and pattern adjustment how to measure your body sew your own garment Included in the workshop: a sewing pattern to take home instruction booklet elastic lots of resources packaged up just for you!

Sewcial Sewing
This is a social sewing event you do not want to miss!! Running on Saturday the 31st of October from 10 - 3pm, bring along your sewing machines and any project you wish to work on, hang out with like-minded people and get a day of sewing inspiration! There will be showbags with every ticket, a door prize for 1 lucky winner, full catered lunch, secondhand fabric and notions for sale for a gold coin and lots of fun! Of course I will be there to help guide you through your project and answer any questions you might have about sewing in general. This will be a one-off event for term 4 but if there is much enthusiasm for another one it will definitely happen again! If you have any dietary requirements, please leave me a comment when booking your ticket :)

Lauren Jade
Sewing Instructor
I (Lauren Jade) am a mother of 3, wife, avid op-shopper, creative and most importantly a sewist. Creating with my hands has been a passion of mine all my life but sewing and in particular garment sewing has been my obsession since 2019. That first pattern i picked up 6 years ago has led me on a path that has changed my life, my understanding of fashion, the impact that has on the environment and how I see the world around me. Saving and recycling second hand and vintage textiles is a huge part of my practice and something I hope inspires my students in the classroom. I offer sewing workshops to a variety of levels from the absolute beginner and teens to those who just want to brush up on their skills. I also have a range of teaching patterns available and I'm hoping to offer course curriculum to anyone wanting to get into teaching.
